Martin Walton's headstone had deteriorated. This headstone was placed by the DAR.

William "Bill" Gorham was Priscilla's second husband and Priscilla was his second wife. William Gorham was first married in Russellville KY to Mary Gunn, who died in 1830. He married Priscilla in 1835 and went on to have many children. Susan was the eldest.

Priscilla married her first husband Carter Forman at age 16 or 17. She gave birth to a son, William Carter Forman in February 1826 at age 17. In the late winter of 1827, Carter Forman died. In April of 1827, Priscilla had a daughter Sarah Catherine Forman. She resided with her parents, William and Sarah Pope until she married William Gorham in 1835. Records indicate William Gorham may have also resided with the Popes. Upon the death of William Pope, William and Priscilla either bought or inherited the Walton house to raise their growing family.

William Carter Forman was named after his father and Priscilla's father. His father died when he was just over one year old. He was, more or less, raised by William Gorham. There is no record of him outside of the Gorham household. He never married or moved away. He lived and died here perhaps due to physical or mental impairment.

William Cook was a freemason. A great love story, William was said to also be called "Archie", and was deeply loved by his wife Susan. The inscription reads, "A noble and beloved husband, farewell! Thy years were few but thy virtues were many. They are revealed not on this perishing stone but on the book of life and in the hearts of thy afflicted friends."

This stone was erected by the Cook family after Susan's death. Susan never remarried after losing her beloved husband at a young age. She remained in the home with her son, Cornelius Walter Cook, until she died at the house in 1915. Some visitors will tell you that Susan is still around.
